What is NLP keyword density?
NLP keyword density measures how often a page uses the words, phrases and named entities that search engines associate with a topic, compared with the pages that already rank. Instead of repeating one keyword, you cover the related concepts, people, brands and places a knowledgeable page would naturally mention. Google's language models, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity use these signals to decide whether your page truly answers the query.
What the analyzer measures
Entity coverage
Extracts people, organizations, brands, places, products and acronyms from every page, then shows which ones competitors mention and you don't.
Semantic coverage
Breaks text into 1–3 word n-grams, groups variants (implant and implants) and weights each topic by how many top-ranking pages use it.
Density health and depth
Flags phrases repeated far more than competitors use them, checks your target keyword in the first 100 words and compares length and readability.
How to close semantic gaps
Start with high-priority entities
If every competitor names a standard, brand or place that applies to you, mention it in context and link to the authoritative source.
Turn missing phrases into sections
Group related gaps, such as bone graft, sinus lift and bone density, into one H2 or FAQ that answers the question properly.
Lead with a direct answer
Open each section with one or two plain sentences that AI Overviews and answer engines can quote, then add the detail.
Thin out stuffed keywords
Swap repeats for synonyms, pronouns and related entities until no single phrase is above roughly 2–3% of your words.
How the NLP score works
Your NLP score out of 100 combines four signals:
- Semantic coverage (40%). The share of weighted competitor topics, as 1–3 word phrases, that your page also covers.
- Entity coverage (30%). The share of named entities used by most competitors that also appear on your page.
- Density health (15%). Points come off for any phrase you repeat far more often than the pages that rank.
- Content depth (15%). Your word count compared with the competitor median.
75 or above is strong, 50–74 needs work and below 50 usually means the page is thin or off-topic compared with what ranks. Without competitor pages, the score uses density and depth only.

Ask us anythingIs keyword density still a ranking factor?
Not on its own. Search engines and AI assistants use natural language processing to understand the entities and topics a page covers. Density is still a useful warning sign: if one phrase makes up more than about 2–3% of your words, the page usually reads as stuffed.
What is an entity in SEO?
An entity is a distinct, named thing a search engine can identify: a person, organization, brand, product, place, standard or concept. Pages that mention the right entities in context are easier for Google, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity to understand and cite.
How does the analyzer find semantic gaps?
It breaks every page into sentences and 1–3 word phrases (n-grams), groups word variants together and extracts named entities. Any entity or phrase used by most competitor pages but missing from yours is reported as a gap, ranked by how many competitors use it and how often.
Is my content uploaded or stored?
No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser and your pasted text is never sent to Visibility Vibe. If you choose to email the report, only the PDF and a short summary are sent so we can deliver it.
How many competitor pages should I compare?
Use three to five pages that currently rank on page one for your target keyword. With fewer than three, a single competitor's quirks can look like a gap.
Can I embed this tool on my website?
Yes. Run an analysis, then click Embed now under the report, copy the code and paste it into any page. It resizes automatically and is free to use with the credit link kept in place.
Conclusion
Ranking in Google and being cited by AI now depends on covering a topic the way an expert would: the right entities, the right subtopics and clear answers, not the same keyword on repeat. Use this analyzer to see what top pages cover that yours doesn't, fix the high-priority gaps first, then re-run it until your score is 75 or above. If you'd like a team to do it for you, we're here.
